As you install something new, the hard drive head automatically find damaged places on hard drive and avoids it, but overtime, if you copied something to the computer and then at one point, that one chunk of file gets damaged, that is what causes the crc error. Reinstalled Operating System might be a long term fix, but remember, nothing stays fresh for long. But don’t be scared of the errors, try doing the check disk. It fixes a lot of times the crc errors.

Well, I haven’t had any problems with disk check crashing the computer. How about you backup everything just in case and try it out. It should work out somehow. What disk check will do is find any corrupt parts of the file and try to fix it.

No lol CRC means that your hard drive is failing, you need to back it up before it goes completely.

Chkdsk is just a temporary fix but after a few hours CRC will strike again.
So, you if you’re experiencing CRC you better contact a technician because your HD might have a hardware-problem or try to replace your Cables
