WARNING USING DARIK’S BOOT & NUKE (DBAN) WILL ERASE CURRENT OS SYSTEM AND EVERY FILE.
*Make sure you have a bootable OS disk by your side or hard drive will not read anything. When booting your DVD or CD make sure to Boot your BIOS menu so you can make your CD drive read first when cpu is starting up.*

Code Purple is an error where you have to ship back your computer
to your manufacturing company. More likely the only
PC’s to get code purple is HP or Compaq. The tech support will mention re-tattooing the motherboard for your computer. I don’t
know about other computer companies. If you want to save
money and download a torrent and only spend for a blank dvd.
Then this video is for you.

My 3 favorite tools to use.
If you recently purchased a new power supply and it doesn’t work when you short circuited your computer by accident like I did then I recommend that you return your power supply in exchange for a new one. If any other components fried then I suggest getting a new part for your PC. Make sure your components are still in working order. Check your video card, ATX connectors, SATA connectors, 4-pin Molex connectors, 6-pin Molex connectors (Powering motherboard and video card), and fan connectors are all plugged in place.
If your cpu blanks out with a black screen. I suggest powering down the power supply off then on. If the hard drive boots the OS system but freezes try again by powering the power supply off then on but before doing so make sure every component is hooked up to the power supply. Trust me it worked for me. If your power supply comes up with a ***RED*** light in the back. 1 of 2 things can occur either you fried your power supply or you fried your video card. If you fried your motherboard might as well purchase another one at Fry’s Electronic store.
Another way you can power up your cpu is by taking out the lithium battery on the motherboard and reinserting it back in. That is another way to check is the power supply is working. The only reason why I know this because I did this all myself.
The only thing I notice differently when I short circuited my computer is a shortage of reading the RAM. About quarter of gig was not read from my 3 gigs of RAM. No big deal since most of the computers in 2009 come with 3 gigs already and it makes RAM so cheap. I purchased 1 gig of ram for $19.99 @ Best Buy bringing my cpu to 4 gigs of RAM. A year ago in 2008 1 gig of RAM was about $99.99 I have a 32-bit system so it will only read 3454mb of ram. If you have a 64-bit system it will read 4 gigs or more on your cpu.
After installing Windows Vista Home Premium torrent with my own OEM product key. Validated my Vista on Microsoft’s website and then I downloaded and installed Service Pack 1. It definitely works!! n_n
What am I running in my HP cpu?
Nvidia 9600 GSO 768 MB
4 gigs of RAM (3454 MB only can be read)
32-bit System.
Intel Duo Core 2 Duo Processor clocking @ 2.13 GHZ
Upgraded CPU fans for better cooling.
Using Antec Fan 3 Switcher 80mm and one slot fan.
Took out network card because I’m not using it.
Came with a TV tuner to watch TV or record shows.
& Two 320 gig hard drives.
(HP Factory Default is 250 gigs. After using DBAN I got 298 gigs. o_0
I have 50 gigs more on my hard drive.)
If I knew more about computers back then like I do now I would’ve built my own custom gaming computer for about the same price with better hardware, and I would’ve overclocked my processor to one GHZ more.
Too bad HP and Compaq computers lock their processor menu therefore you can’t mess with the processor setting to make the computer overclock and run faster. (Note that I know overclocking lowers the life expectancy for the cpu even though it is so worth it.)
